How quickly will my dedicated server be set up?
As we offer dedicated servers with a wide range of configuration options, each server is built to order.
Delivery time will therefore vary depending on the order queue and demand. You can find the estimated delivery time for each model in our server configurator, or contact us for a precise delivery estimate.
The ongoing contract period does not begin until the server has been delivered to you.
Is there unlimited/unmetered traffic/transfer with a dedicated server?
For our dedicated servers, a «soft» traffic limit is offered in the form of free usage up to 50 TB.
50 TB equals 50,000 GB, which is more than enough for most use cases. This corresponds to a continuous data throughput of approximately 150 Mbit/s around the clock, all month, without interruptions. For most users, this will effectively feel like unlimited traffic.
If you require more, an upgrade to 100 TB per month is available for 405 NOK/month.
If you expect to regularly exceed 100 TB/month, feel free to contact us for a competitive offer on larger data packages.
Is there a backup plan included?
We offer in-house backup with Acronis Cloud Backup as a paid add-on service. This ensures that your data is stored in Norway—both on your server and in backup storage.
Whether you need to secure a single database, require real-time full server backup, bare metal recovery options, or something in between, we have the solution for you. All backups are stored in a data center in Oslo and protected with AES-256 encryption.
What customer support is offered?
Our dedicated servers are an unmanaged service, meaning we provide support for the hardware and network of the server. Unless otherwise agreed, you (or a hired third party) are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the server’s software.
The server comes pre-installed with the operating system you select during the ordering process.
Are there upgrade options after deployment?
Yes, it is possible to upgrade the server’s network speed, memory (RAM), and storage capacity. In most cases, the server will need to be powered down during the installation of new components.
Contact us to schedule a suitable time for the upgrade.
Do I get root/administrator access to the server?
You get administrator/root access and can remotely manage your server via SSH (Linux) or RDP (Windows).
Additionally, you will have access to a remote console, allowing you to control your server even if it has no internet access or if the operating system is not loaded.
You can also power the server on/off remotely via an external power management system, without needing to log in via SSH or RDP.
Is there a commitment period?
We have no commitment period or cancellation notice for our dedicated servers, other than the billing commitment for the current subscription period. You can even choose to pay month-to-month if preferred.
A dedicated server is a recurring service/subscription billed in advance. The billing cycle is determined by you during the ordering process.
The subscription automatically renews under the current terms until cancellation is submitted. If you cancel after a new billing period has started, you will be charged for the entire ongoing period.
How do I choose the operating system?
You can select your preferred operating system in the server configurator during the order process. If you don’t see a specific Linux distribution or Windows version on the list, feel free to contact us.
Can I use my own Windows-licence?
Yes, you are free to use your own Windows license and, if desired, your own ISO. Contact us for ordering details.
